Foie Gras


What is considered a delicacy is actually forced fed goose or duck liver. While at a classical French dinner at SCCC(the food is really good), I decided to try this as an appetizer because I really like liver. Plus, in my sick mind, I thought, "Huh, this is going to be banned soon, I need to try it". It was very little and on a bed of greens. It was very buttery. I wouldn't say it was bad, but I wouldn't say it was good either. The reason this is probably going to be banned is because they pump grain down these animals throats to enlarge their livers. Animal rights activates such as PETA are very against this. I don't like PETA but it is not necessary to do this to an animal just for some "so so" liver.
